...reflecting on your blessings...

"the practice of gratitude becomes more valuable during
very difficulty times because it fosters optimism
and serves as an antidote to worry.
it's hard to be anxious, after all,
when reflecting on your blessings.
it can even work in situation that seem,
at first, to offer us nothing but unhappiness." ...
"ultimately, when you are real, it's even possible to
feel gratitude for the progress that effort and fate have
allowed you to make toward a self-designed life.
this kind of gratitude means you can move forward knowing
you didn't waste your time here on earth bound to
someone else's notions of what is good and valuable and important.
you will be able to live without regrets."
~the velveteen principles
a guide to becoming real

i love this book.
such wisdom and inspiration.
based upon a children's book.
today.
no sun.
as with many days previous.
today.
it shown briefly.
and left quickly before i could get my camera.
tomorrow.
promises sun and warmth.
the temp right now...is 47.
despite that.
i have the window open.
i hear a robin.
it is well.
with my soul.
just BE.
robin.

The darkness surrounds yet a bit of life leaves shadows of depth...the Velveteen Rabbit was real despite what the real rabbits said. He just had to believe it was so...and so it was!

Wonderful capture, Robin!! Our sun is back to playing hide-and-seek with us here in Seattle, too. Beautiful words of wisdom, too, thanks for sharing!!
